17 Mar Centralizing Quality Reporting for Medicaid Value-Based Care in Rhode Island

IMAT Solutions and the State of Rhode Island to Present at the 2022 Annual State HIT Connect Summit About Alignment with NCQA’s Data Aggregator Validation (DAV) Certification Program.

With the 2022 Annual State HIT Connect Summit coming up on April 18th in Baltimore, now’s the time to develop plans for gaining the most out of the conference, which will serve as an ideal platform for thought leaders to share ideas and benchmark implementation strategies of State Health IT Systems.

This year, IMAT Solutions will be presenting with the State of Rhode Island to highlight the RI Quality Reporting System (QRS) and its implementation approach, service and technology requirements, and current status. It will also showcase the state’s alignment with the RI Medicaid program to support the goal of shifting to value-based payment methodologies for the Rhode Island Medicaid Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).

Titled, “Centralizing Quality Reporting for Medicaid Value-Based Care,” the presentation is taking place on April 10th at 10 a.m., and will feature the following speakers:

Olivia King, State Health IT Coordinator, Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services
Ken Barbe, Vice President Of Professional Services / Security Officer, IMAT Solutions

The Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services (RI EOHHS), the State Medicaid Agency, chose to align their approach with the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA’s) evolving recommendations for electronic clinical quality measurement (eCQM) and more recently, the Data Aggregator Validation (DAV) certification program.

Accordingly, RI EOHHS has invested in a Quality Reporting System initiative that is compliant with NCQA recommendations and minimizes administrative burden on providers.

In addition, IMAT Solutions is the first, and currently only, technology company to achieve full DAV designation from NCQA.

“NCQA’s Data Aggregator Validation program helps identify clinical data that can be trusted and sets a high bar for how the data are managed,” said NCQA President, Margaret E. O’Kane. “We are excited that organizations like IMAT Solutions are working to improve trust in clinical data and help ensure the data’s accuracy and broader usability.”
