25 Sep Bain & Company/KLAS: Payers and Providers Increasing IT Investments
IMAT’s Health Data Management Platform Provides Significant ROI on Payer and Provider Health IT Investments
According to a new survey from Bain & Co. and KLAS Research, health payers and providers are boosting their overall investments in cybersecurity, AI and other critical IT areas and are more willing to experiment with these technologies.
While payers and providers are continuing to place a premium on technology, there are still challenges around legacy technologies and aging infrastructure that limit scalability and flexibility. Specifically, 65 percent of payers stated that upgrading legacy technologies is a significant challenge.
Provider organizations stated that IT infrastructure and services such as clinical workflow optimization, data platforms and interoperability, and revenue cycle management (RCM) are key priorities. They also cited how their current data quality and governance efforts are not sufficiently robust to realize that promise of value-based care.
Meanwhile, payers are prioritizing IT investments in care coordination and utilization management as well as in claims processing and payments. When it comes to care coordination and utilization management tools, payers believe that these are essential for controlling costs and improving member outcomes.
IMAT Solutions is the ideal partner for helping providers and payers maximize their health IT investment in these areas – especially when it comes to leveraging health data in ways that enhance compliance, advance value-based care efforts, boost member experiences, and increase revenue generation.
The IMAT Health Data Management Platform helps payers and providers track performance metrics and optimize operational workflows. For example, payers and providers can analyze clinical data and patient outcomes, helping them identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement. These actionable insights ultimately drive better care for patients and lower costs overall.
In addition, IMAT Solutions was recently named in the Gartner report: “Hype Cycle for U.S. Healthcare Payers, 2024.”
Specifically, IMAT Solutions was featured as a sample vendor in the “Next-Generation Value-Based Payment” category in the report.
As the report highlights, “next-generation value-based payment (NGVBP) rewards quality, cost-effective healthcare, integrating social determinants of health (SDOH) for equity, enabling data interoperability, fostering patient engagement, setting clear performance benchmarks and mandating timely reporting.” In addition, NGVBP leverages data and analytics (D&A) capabilities that IMAT offers for easing participation and reducing administrative workloads.
