IMAT Solutions Enabling Real-Time Data Reporting and Analytics in Response to COVID-19

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to grow in severity, real-time patient information from all points of care and across the continuum of care is critical. IMAT Solutions is proud to be playing a part in helping our customers provide critical real-time reporting and information on the COVID-19 pandemic to Providers, Payers, public health and other healthcare organizations.

 

IMAT’s customer base consists of HIEs, State Health Organizations and Payers covering over 35 million lives across the USA. Our customers are connected to thousands of practices, clinics, laboratories and hospitals. They process millions of records per day with speeds of up to 700 records per second. All data received is immediately normalized, validated and available for reporting and analytics.

 

With support from IMAT, our clients are focused on three areas of reporting and analytics specific to COVID-19.

 


EVENT-BASED REPORTING


By earning eCQM Certification from NCQA, IMAT Clinical Reports has undergone the industry’s most rigorous assessment. Reporting is more accurate for these This covers reporting related to specific events or encounters such as, who was tested, test results, diagnoses, who treated the patients, where the patients treated etc. This information not only includes Patient, Provider and clinical information, but is also linked to geographical data.

POPULATION RISK SURVEILLANCE


Our clients are providing reports and information based on a combination of symptoms, diagnoses, procedures, tests administered, test results and medical equipment. Clients are also able to search through notes, comments fields and any other unstructured text-based data to identify important information not captured in structured or coded fields and include this data in reports.

ALERTS + NOTIFICATIONS


IMAT understands that Providers and care givers are overwhelmed with notifications and alerts under “normal” conditions, and most of the information related to COVID-19 is delivered through real-time reporting and data extracts. There are still cases where real-time alerts are of use, such as with long term care and assisted living facilities, homeless shelters and walk-in clinics, which will benefit from alerts and notifications for patients at risk.

One of the challenges of this pandemic is identification of evolving clinical codes such as laboratory tests, diagnoses, medical equipment, as well as the combination of codes used to identify patients at risk.

 

IMAT will be maintaining a centralized collection of all required clinical codes, based on feedback from clients, Providers and healthcare organizations. Updates will be published daily and delivered through IMAT Sets. IMAT Sets allow for the creation of profiles based on clinical codes and any other clinical data required to identify patients who may be at risk. Leveraging Sets within IMAT, clients are able to update all queries, reports, scorecards and dashboards with the latest clinical codes immediately.
