02 Mar State of Rhode Island Office of Health and Human Services Selects IMAT Solutions to Deliver an Electronic Clinical Quality Measurement Reporting and Feedback System

March 2, 2018, Orem, UT – IMAT Solutions, a leader in delivering innovative, real-time, healthcare data management and population health reporting solutions, announced today it has signed a new client, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services for the State of Rhode Island. Under this contract, IMAT will assist the State in its transition to a value-based system of care by establishing a centralized electronic clinical quality measurement reporting and feedback system. In 2015, Rhode Island was one of 24 states to receive a State Innovation Model (SIM) Test Grant from TheCenters for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to support this transition.

The IMAT platform will support the collection, validation, normalization, indexing, codifying and sharing of data forparticipating healthcare entities within the State of Rhode Island. The IMAT Unified Data Foundation and related reporting systems will enablethe State to realize an integrated clinical quality measurement system, one capable of leveraging the state’s existing Health Information Exchange infrastructure to aggregate information from patients, hospitals, provider groups, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH), and insurance payers to support the calculation of more accurate clinical quality measures.

The comprehensive, six-step data ingestion process used by the IMAT platform enables all data, no matter the source, the format or the data type, to be aggregated into one common data store. The IMAT system can store and report on both structured data as well as narrative information captured as unstructured data.

The IMAT reporting repository is well aligned with the specifications forNQF measures, as required in Rhode Island’s SIM Aligned Measure Set.The IMAT reporting system can generate quality measures based on data received from multiple contributing partners within the state . The system’s reporting capabilities enable results to be displayed at the patient, provider, practice/ACO/organization, hospital or statewide levels. Users of the IMAT reporting application will have the ability to select only those measures that are relevant to a provider, to a specific facility or to an entire organization, such as a hospital, an ACO or PCMH.
