20 Mar Digital Health Needs to Focus on Business and Patient Outcomes
The market for digital health services is vast and growing. In 2022, the market was worth more than $175 billion globally, and is expected to have a compound annual growth rate of 27 percent by 2030.
At last week’s HIMSS24 conference, there were more than 30,000 attendees and 1,100 exhibitors – reinforcing the rise of digital health services. Many of today’s digital health solutions focus on platforms that match patients with providers via AI, telemedicine and data analytics to enhance care delivery.
But, the big question is: are today’s digital health solutions viable in ways that enhance patient and business outcomes for their customers?
According to a recent MIT Sloan Review article, many digital health platforms struggle to match the success of other platform businesses from larger tech providers such as Facebook, Apple, Amazon and Airbnb. It’s time to rethink digital health strategies in ways that leverage incumbent technologies and take a full ecosystem approach.
Mark Coetzer, VP Business Development at IMAT Solutions, recently hosted a LinkedIn Live session, where he discussed how the IMAT Flexible Payer Solution helps health payers to achieve these types of business and care outcomes.
Bringing together robust interoperability and Clinical Data Integration (CDI) capabilities, IMAT Solutions boosts member experiences, while also enhancing revenue generation.
Specifically, the IMAT Flexible Payer Solution boosts care outcomes for population health management, as well as enhances operational risk management – while providing a data-driven decision process for achieving Value-Based Care goals.
This is achieved through connecting multiple providers with enterprise capabilities through CDI and analytics to support these down-stream business use cases.
